Turbo-Satori TSI 2.0.:
BCI and Neurofeedback Software
NIRx proudly offers Turbo-Satori for the real-time online analysis of functional near-infrared spectroscopy data, for use within neuro-feedback and BCI applications.
With its new release, Turbo-Satori now offers a new filter option. The rsl-GLM based filter allows to use the confound predictors determined in the GLM settings as a filter to clean the data. The new user interface offers more flexibility as well as MacOS compatibility.
Turbo Satori was developed in a partnership with the experts at Brain Innovation which are well known for its robust real-time neurofeedback fMRI solution. Alongside Brain Innovation we have developed a high-end user-friendly software for real-time analysis of fNIRS. This software is compatible with all our platforms (NIRScout and NIRSport) from lab-based to full mobile solutions and there is no need for any additional hardware to connect it to our NIRStar or Aurora acquisition softwares.
Real-time analysis of fNIRS data
Turbo Satori uses the Lab-Streaming-Layer (LSL) protocol implemented on either NIRStar or Aurora to import the raw data and perform the real-time analysis.
The analysis pipeline can be fully customized for each experimental design and it is capable of calculating changes in oxy- and deoxy-hemoglobin concentrations followed by block averages, GLM, SVM classification and statistics.
The user-friendly interface enables immediate access to all of these advanced processing features of Turbo-Satori also for students and non-experts in the field of fNIRS data acquisition and processing.
Some of the software features include:
Topographic channel selection
Preprocessing options inclusive of movement artifact correction and GLM
Real-time statistics including T-values, Beta values, channel correlation and averages
Short distance channel support
Heartbeat detection/Heart rate calculation
Neurofeedback and BCI
Turbo-Satori comes with straightforward interfaces for neurofeedback and BCI experiments “out of the box”. In addition, flexible network interfaces allow third-party stimulus applications to access the processed data and calculated statistics in real-time, so that this information can be easily incorporated into custom neurofeedback or BCI presentations.
